NOMOPHOBIA

Utilising satirical irony, “Nomophobia” aims to critique and educate its audience about the excessive use of  digital devices. Daniel generates a digital environment, accompanied by visual and audio effects to create a dramatic and educational short film. Through the film, viewers are able to experience the psychological and physical effects of going from digital overconsumption to deprivation of all digital devices. By sharing this film across various digital platforms, Daniel’s work adopts a satirical nature that further drives the core message of his work. “Nomophobia” serves to challenge audiences' preconceptions regarding the implications of media consumption to encourage re-evaluation of such perspectives.
